An Insider Look at Workplace Wellness Through YOGA: How Yoga Boosts Productivity and Performance

In today's busy business world, staff and managers continue to push harder and faster in hopes of achieving more. But does more effort and constant pressure really drive better business results? Research shows the opposite, revealing that employees who are calm, centred and focused are more creative, more productive, better communicators and become better leaders. Workplace wellness is proving crucial to improving performance. Yoga has taken hold of the business world as it offers a fun, convenient and affordable way to enhance company wellness, helping staff and managers ease stress, tame their emotions, sharpen their minds, improve productivity and boost performance.
Q: Why are companies bringing in yoga?
A: Research shows that for every dollar a company invests in wellness, it saves $3. That is a 200% ROI. Nowadays more companies are realizing that constantly pushing harder and faster actually sabotages productivity and performance. What boosts results is wellness and so, a long list of companies has launched initiatives to nourish their staff's wellness. When they do, they are seeing that people make better decisions, communicate better, are more focused and more productive. Yoga is popular because it is fun, effective and affordable, it can be tailored to any skill level and it also provides helpful tools and insights staff and managers can use on their own.
Q: What's the biggest frustration companies are seeing today with their staff?
A: Managers I speak to say they are frustrated because it has become harder to keep great talent. Employees are stressed and overwhelmed. Burnout and absenteeism are on the rise. And today, if they're not happy, great employees may just quit and join the competition. What employees are looking for today is a workplace where they feel valued, and a workplace that takes care of them in which they can thrive. If the corporate atmosphere is one of stress or pressure, if work is draining, people lose motivation, they burnout, they stop showing up, or they quit. We are seeing a complete change in what people want from their work and companies are now launching initiatives to promote wellness and make their company more attractive to job seekers. It is good for employees, good for the company and good for the shareholders. Employee wellness is now a strategic corporate objective because it pays off.
Q: So why do people hire you to teach yoga in their offices?
A: My classes have become popular with Montreal companies because I distill yoga into practical tools and principles for busy business people. I take out the mumbo jumbo and "yoga talk" and make yoga into something anyone can use and understand. My classes aim to help staff and managers gain real skills that translate into better results. I have a Master's in International Communications and used to work in the corporate world, so I know precisely what it is like to be busy, stressed, struggling and need practical help that can be put into practice immediately to get more with less effort.
Q: What are the greatest benefits staff and managers receive from yoga?
A: What I hear most is that yoga allowed them to release stress and tension. They say they are calmer and more focused, and some say the corporate atmosphere actually changes when yoga classes are offered.
Companies who foster wellness see tangible benefits in employee performance, and yoga may be the most effective and affordable way to promote wellness in staff and managers. Best of all it's fun and employees love it.

You should hold in this position for 15-30 seconds then release.(Yoga Poses For Emotional Release)

How Yoga Can Help You Lose Weight Easily And Enjoyably

There are many reasons why yoga is so popular with people trying to lose weight - one of the main reasons is that it WORKS! Here are three ways that yoga helps you to start losing weight easily.
1. Yoga relaxes your body and mind.
Being overweight is an indicator that something is out of balance in your life. Excess stress is a big factor that contributes to weight gain.
Yoga is an easy way to help you relax. When you practice yoga, you bring a deep sense of relaxation to your body and your mind. As you relax, you begin to ease the stress in your life, and weight loss will begin to happen naturally. (How Yoga Can Help You Lose Weight)
2. Yoga assists detoxification.
Being overweight is a sign that your body is high in toxicity. Detoxifying your body can help you to lose weight for good.
When your body is toxic, it means that your detoxification organs (such as your liver and kidneys) may not be working effectively. When these organs aren't working optimally your body will tend to hold on to excess weight.
Doing yoga is an excellent place to start detoxifying your body. Yoga tones up the inner organs and helps them to work optimally again. Breathing deeply during yoga is an important part of detoxification.
There are specific poses in yoga that assist detoxification, such as yoga twists. Self massage in yoga is highly recognized in the East as a powerful tool for detoxification.
3. Yoga helps release stuck emotions.
What most weight loss experts won't tell you is that being overweight almost always has an emotional component. (How Yoga Can Help You Lose Weight)
In everyday life, we often address negative feelings with food or other addictions. Used in this way, food is used to numb or suppress feelings. Left unaddressed, these "pent-up" feelings can become stuck in the body.
Yoga is one tool that you can use to access and release these stuck emotions. Many people describe walking out of yoga class with an incredible feeling of lightness.
Being on the yoga mat gives you the opportunity to notice your feelings. Not only does yoga help you to notice how you're really feeling, it also helps you connect with your personal power so that you have the courage and confidence to express how you feel.
Yoga is a powerful healing tool as it aids relaxation, promotes detoxification and helps release stuck emotions. Based on my own experience, I can personally recommend yoga as a path to losing weight naturally and keeping it off for good!

Kids Yoga Stories Can Benefit Your Child Immensely

They say bringing up a child is like moulding soft clay with our own hands. As a parent you therefore have to be careful about what you are teaching your child. Children are impressionable and eager to learn and if you give them the right kind of education and environment they will grow up to be strong, self-reliant individuals. Education is far from imparting bookish knowledge today, it has to be holistic in the true sense of its word and yet be simple enough for little children to enjoy the process of learning.
A great educational tool to teach kids
One such great educational tool parents can use is yoga stories. Your children need exercise and there yet has to be a child who does not love stories, so why not combine the benefits of both? Yoga stories will not only help your kids improve their health and flexibility it will spark their eager imagination senses as well. There are a lot of certified yoga trainers today who specialize in kids' yoga who say that such stories are immensely beneficial for children between the ages of two to eight.
Yoga stories are constructed in a manner to engage and encourage the children to get moving while having fun and learning all the way. Yoga stories can be practiced in a number of creative ways. Let's illustrate with an example that can be used on toddlers or young children between the ages of 3-5. Find a big bag and put in all sorts of stuffed toy animals in them. You can then ask each child to speak about a visit to a zoo and weave it in a story format.
Each child gets to pick toy animal and mimic its pose. A yoga expert who has to supervise this activity will see that the child does each pose correctly. Before you know it you will find that the kids are having a whale of time acting out the story and letting their imaginations go wild! There are several such yoga places that conduct special programs like the ones mentioned above. Such stories teach young minds not just about animals, but about different people, places and cultures.
Develops physical and creative capabilities of a child
Learning yoga in a creative way like this will help the kids develop an awareness about their bodies and improve their motor skills. The focus of this innovative way of learning is not to teach children about the perfect yogic postures, it is about promoting an attitude of kindness and gratitude. Through such programs children learn the benefits of sharing, cooperation and acceptance.
It has been noticed that children who learn through yoga stories are able to build their strength and flexibility over time. These kids are much less prone to throwing tantrums and turn out to be relaxed and calm as well as develop a keen sense of confidence and self-expression.
If you are a parent who is encouraging your kids to learn through yoga stories, do not pressure your kids to learn perfect postures or to focus on things such as losing weight. You should just encourage them to have fun in the best way they can.

Restorative Yoga Poses

If you are looking for restorative yoga poses, here they are - two of the main ones:
Legs up the wall pose
This move aids in relieving tired and cramped feet. The move also stretches back legs, front torso, and back of the neck. The move has also been shown to aid in calming the mind.
To assume the pose you need to sit sideways on the right end of a support with your right side against the wall. You should then exhale and swing your legs onto the wall and your shoulders and head lightly onto the floor.
You should then lift and release the back of your neck to soften your throat. When softening your throat, you should avoid pushing your chin against your sternum. Instead, you should lift your sternum towards your chin.
You should then place a small roll under your neck and open your shoulder blades away from the spine and place your hands on your sides with your palms facing up.
Keeping your legs firm, you should release your thigh bones and the weight of your belly into your torso. You should then soften your eyes and turn them such that they look into your heart. You should hold in this position for 15 minutes.
Reclining bound angle pose-supta baddha Konasana
This move aids in stimulating the abdominal organs such as ovaries, bladder, kidneys, and prostate gland. The move also aids in stimulating the heart and improving the general circulation.
It also stretches the inner thighs, knees, and groins. Research has also shown that the move also aids in relieving the symptoms of stress, mild depression, menopause, and menstruation. (Restorative Yoga Poses)
To perform the pose you need to lower your back torso towards the floor by learning on your hands. In this position, you should use your hands to spread the back of your pelvis then release your lower back and upper buttocks.
Moving your torso to the floor, you should support your neck and head on a blanket roll and grip your topmost thighs. You should then rotate your inner thighs externally and press your outer thighs away from your torso. You should then let your arms lie on the floor from an angle of 45 degrees with your palms facing up.
You should hold in this position for 5-10 minutes and to come out, use your hands to press your thighs together. You should then roll over on one side and push yourself away from the floor with your head trailing your torso.

Use Yoga To Be Pain Free

Many people believe that having pain in the body all of the time is a necessary part of aging. If you do yoga, you can be old and pain free. I have been doing yoga since age 12.
I grew up doing yoga, martial arts and gymnastics so I have had my share of injuries. But I do not have any chronic pain and I am no longer a young man. Chronic pain can lead to a more serious issue. Dr. Oz was saying that they have powerful pain killers that are opiate based now. Many people get addicted to these.
Then when they go to buy these pain killers illegally, they find that heroin is cheaper to buy. So now the rate of people in the U.S. using heroin is increasing. Also many thousands of people were using Vioxx for pain before it was recalled, not knowing that it was killing many people.
The human body has been designed to be stretched in different ways for it to operate the way that it should. Just by spending a few minutes of day of doing certain stretches can keep it feeling young. Not only does yoga stretch the muscles but it also stimulates the endocrine system glands. These glands include the sex glands, the adrenal glands and the thyroid gland.
These glands produce hormones that help the body to function. Doing yoga has a very powerful anti-aging effect on the body. This is why Dr. Oz does yoga and his patients do yoga. You can learn it at classes, from a video or even from a book. Bikram's yoga is extremely therapeutic for the body. You can talk to different people and learn the one that works best for you.
A lot of pain that people have is caused by stress. Yoga may be the best thing for reversing stress. People do not get pain so they can take a pain killer. Pain is a signal that there is something wrong with the body. Ben Franklin said that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Yoga is very popular among celebrities. Even Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) does yoga.
If you want to drink a tea that helps with the above, drink nettle leaf tea. This will calm and relax the nerves and it actually nourishes the endocrine system glands. Since this tea is 98% water, it has all the benefits of getting enough water in the body. Many people have reported that yoga even helps them with mental and emotional problems.
Chuck Bluestein has been doing yoga since age 12. To see some of the celebrities that do yoga, see 23 Celebrities That Do Yoga. To learn about a tea that relaxes you, calms your nerves and nourishes the endocrine system glands see Health Benefits of Nettle Leaf Tea.

Tips On How To Teach Yoga Students

Over the past decade, yoga has exploded in popularity. Some people use yoga as a way to stay in shape. Others use it as a method for relaxing and relieving stress. No matter where you live, there is a good chance there is a yoga class going on nearby. If you are a yoga instructor, there are many ways to go about passing on your knowledge to the people in your class. Let's take a look at some tips that deal with how to teach yoga students:
1. Arrive in your class early
Try to show up in each of your classes at least 15 minutes early. This will give your students time to ask you any questions they have about the previous class. They can also ask for your advice on any problems they are having in the class. This type of communication between the yoga student and the teacher will help the student get the most out of the class.
2. Focus on one topic per class
Some yoga instructors have a method of teaching where they like to jump around from one topic to another. They believe this helps the class flow better while not becoming boring or stale. However, these instructors are not thinking about the people who are slow learners or those individuals who are not in good shape. These people may take longer to learn a specific technique. Therefore, more time should be spent with them before moving on to the next posture or exercise. If someone is in a yoga class, there is a good chance that person has little or no knowledge of the various positions and movements. As an instructor, if you try to cram too many topics into one class, you are cheating your students and failing to teach them anything. Choose one topic and build the entire class around it. Only move on to a secondary topic if you are certain the entire class has mastered the first one.(How To Teach Yoga)
3. Do not use medical terms for the anatomy
When you are a teacher, the most important thing is that all of your students understand you. If your students do not understand some of the terminologies you are using, they will not be getting the full benefit of your knowledge. It will also slow down your class if students are constantly asking what certain terms mean. Remember, this is a yoga class, not a medical class. Therefore, make sure you use simple terms such as lower back, upper back, ribs, head, chest and stomach. Then you can be certain that all of your students will always know exactly what you mean.
4. Walk around the room as you teach
Many yoga instructors make the mistake of staying on their mat in front of the class while teaching. Walking around the room is more effective. This is especially important if you are teaching a large class with at least 50 people. As you walk around the room, take a close look at what each of your students is doing. Check to see if they are performing the postures or exercises correctly. If they are having difficulty, show them the right way to do it. You will not be able to see how the students, especially those located on the sides or at the back are doing unless you make the effort to closely inspect the entire class.

Simple Standing Yoga Stretches With a Chair

For these chair stretches you are going to stand. You can use a sturdy straight backed chair without arms for support, balance, and maneuverability.
Step One: I suggest that you push the front of the chair against a wall for extra stability
(Hamstring / calf stretch)
Step Two: So that we are on the same page; stand behind the chair back for a moment, facing the chair and wall. Now move to the right side of the chair seat Turn and face the seat. (Standing Yoga)
Step Three: Hold onto the back of the chair with your left hand so that you can put your right foot and leg out and onto the chair seat. Curl your toes back towards your leg. Lean over the chair. Make sure that you bend the leg that you're standing on. And stretch your right arm straight out over your leg on the chair seat. Hold the pose for five seconds; breathe in and out through your nose as best you can. Release. Move your leg from the chair seat.
Step Four: (We are going to switch sides.) Move around the back of the chair, until you are facing the chair seat on the other side.
Step Five: Hold onto the back of the chair with your right hand so that you can put your left foot and leg out and onto the chair seat. Curl your toes back towards your leg. Lean over the chair. Make sure that you bend the leg that you're standing on. And stretch your left arm straight out over your leg on the chair seat. Hold the pose for five seconds; breathe in and out through your nose as best you can. Release.(Standing Yoga)
You can repeat as you want. But make sure that you are balanced as you proceed.
New Stretch:
(Leg stretch behind you)
Step One: Stand behind the chair and face the wall that the chair is pressed against. Put both hands on the top of the chair back. Look up towards the ceiling. Arch backwards slightly.
Step Two: Push your right leg straight back as you are looking up. Tense your buttocks as you push out your leg. The other leg should have a slight bend to protect your knee joint. Release.
Switch sides
Step Three: Push your left leg straight back as you are looking up. Tense your buttocks as you push out your leg. The other leg should have a slight bend to protect your knee joint. Look up towards the ceiling. Arch backwards slightly. Release. Repeat as you like.
New Stretch:
(Thigh muscle stretch) (Standing Yoga)
Step One: Hold onto the chair back with your left hand. Grab your right foot, or ankle, or the bottom of your pant leg with your right hand. Pull your foot towards your buttocks. If you can, try pushing your foot against your hand for added stretch. Release your foot.
Switch sides.
Step Two: Hold onto the chair back with your right hand. Grab your left foot with your left hand. Pull your foot towards your buttocks.
If you can try pushing your foot against your hand for added stretch.
Release. Repeat as many times as feels comfortable. (Standing Yoga)
The most important thing here is to stretch as often as you feel comfortable. The support of the chair allows you to get stretching without being nervous that you may lose your balance. Until next time. Happy stretching.

An Organic Way of Life: Yoga-Lifestyle

Yoga has emerged to be something more than just a recreational activity in today's world, it is a lifestyle. Yoga has influenced the life of many to an extent that they have chosen to take it beyond than just the yoga mat; they have chosen the yoga-lifestyle. Yoga-lifestyle is the one which is based on the basic principles of yoga itself, which means it is a way to live life with determination, concentration, focus, peace and love. Yoga provides a sense of physical, mental and spiritual well being, and yoga-lifestyle is a way to implement all these into your day-to-day life.
Yoga-lifestyle focuses on living a life in peace with the environment around us. This has lead to people being conscious about what they wear and eat. This has changed the clothing trend from synthetically produced clothes to all organic clothing. Organic clothing includes the use of organic crops for the production of textile. These organic textiles are at times mixed with recycled plastic if needed to produce a final product, i.e. an organic piece of cloth. This proves to be advantageous on environmental and sustainable development end. These organic crops are farmed without using any genetically modified seeds or chemically produced pesticides. Studies have shown that these pesticides which are produced chemically and not found naturally in the environment have severe effects on the soil and land value and contaminated the air and water around it. Not just that it has also shown to cause many harmful diseases in the areas where they are used. On the other hand using recycled plastic means there will be less of plastic material which will be filled up in land or burnt, providing yet another road towards a cleaner environment.( Yoga-Lifestyle)
With more and more people being conscious about environmental issues yoga-lifestyle has emerged as a way to protect the environment. Besides being a treat for the environment, organic clothing is also comfortable to wear. A good yoga practice requires complete concentration and focus, and for that you would like your clothes to be completely comfortable during all the 'asaanas'; organic yoga clothing provides just that. Organic cotton clothes even absorb sweat, and are not at all irrigating and itching like other synthetic clothes. With the explosion of this lifestyle, along with comfort these organic clothes are also a big hit in style and fashion world as many big names have started working with organic material.
Kooshoo.com provides functional and organic yoga clothes, head bands, hair ties, organic yoga apparels and much more. mes have started working with organic material. ( Yoga-Lifestyle)

The Power of Yoga for Cancer Recovery: Find Your Inner Yogi!

Besides Yoga being a FABULOUS form of physical fitness, it is equally an integral part of our inner ecosystem for its mental, emotional therapeutic powers. It really is the definition of a mind body connection.
We live in a world where its go... go... go... faster... harder... push... push...
Psychologically: we can get frustrated, irritable, brain fog, dare I say bitchy... feeling we are never productive enough
Physiologically: we don't breathe properly, therefore we are not oxygenating our body properly, we produce stress hormones such as cortisol, we have been known to consume the wrong foods in such a state...(Yoga for Cancer Recovery)
The ultimate power of Yoga can be seen in a true Yogi - Now I say "true" because like anything else there are plenty of wannabe yogis: they might know the moves, but the true spirit, physicality, art & magic of the yoga has not been integrated into their being, therefore, sorry, they cannot communicate & share the true power of yoga with others.
I insist we all emit an aura. People feel a perception of us being around us. Our eyes, smile, posture, body language, scent, the way we carry ourselves... all contribute to our personal aura. There is a peacefulness, calm, friendly & welcoming positively contagious aura emanating from a yogi. A sense that is so relaxing, cathartic... makes you want to just stop and breathe, like basking in that ray of sunshine smiling through the window, you know the one the cat usually usurps! Makes our qi gush, not just flow. (Yoga for Cancer Recovery)
Unfortunately there is a paradigm of fitness that it is all about the hard rocking and bopping until you drop - and sure I do find that a fun aspect of fitness - I love a filthy, sweaty workout. Yes, it serves an important purpose. We do have many studies that show us that relentless gruelling exercise can create damaging oxidative stress, and yes shorten lifespan. The physical flexibility & strength of yoga are matched by the mental flexibility and strength of yoga, which is equally critical to our health and wellness.
Everybody talks about stress, which is rooted in an upset in our inner ecosystem, interruptions and blockages in our flow of qi, life's energy. The ancient arts of fitness such as yoga and tai chi provide that cleansing calm to oxygenate & restore to a stronger self.(Yoga for Cancer Recovery)
As I personally work with people on exercise for disease recovery, I know besides our knowledge of disease, exercise science, knowing the appropriate exercise protocol..of equal importance is our aura that we transmit to others. So often I believe this is even more powerful, as it allows the person to envelop the deep healing potential of the exercise. I personally use smiles and humor - By smiling together we open the windows to our souls to truly allow healing on every level. The fitness industry again unfortunately, because it sells TV shows, has pushed a boot camp, brow beating, push till you cry ( or throw up) view of exercise. What people don't see is how NOT sustainable that is, other than for another season of absurdity. If we model fitness with humor, love, peace, creating an inner symphony, than we can create a lasting, sustainable passion for health & fitness.
That peaceful calm, gentle smiles, inner strength that exudes from a yogi creates a beautiful habitat for healing. Especially working with those recovering from cancer, a yogi trained with the science of exercise for cancer recovery can truly provide the mental & physical strength, stamina and calm, allowing cancer treatment to be maximized. If you need to breathe, think better, feel better, be better... embrace the power of yoga.(Yoga for Cancer Recovery)

Healthy Eating Habits According To Dahn Yoga Reviews

The month of March is considered as the National Nutrition Month. As explained by Dahn Yoga reviews, this is the time whereby people should render importance to developing excellent eating habits as well as exercise choices. The organization who established this highly relevant campaign is the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
The said organization made this campaign in order to let people know that their everyday decisions may affect the status of their health in several ways. However, even though it is not the month of March, it is highly relevant for us to bear in our minds the said campaign, thus, practicing excellent eating and exercise habits must be followed all the time. (Dahn Yoga Reviews)
All of the Dahn Yoga practitioners are giving importance to the said campaign. It is due to the fact that having mindful eating habits results to employment of wellness-focused kind of lifestyle. They are fully aware that such habits can benefit their Yoga practice. Below are some of the healthy eating habits shared by Dahn Yoga practitioners and gurus.
We should practice conscious eating
Conscious eating is quite similar with meditation, since it requires us to become aware as well as fully present in that very moment. For several people, taste is their top basis when ascertaining the foods that they should consume. However, according to those who practice Dahn Yoga, emotional as well as social influences can play a significant role when choosing foods to eat.
As highly cognizable, there are a lot of individuals who prefer to turn to comfort type of foods. It is crucial for us to comprehend our body as well as the signs in order to determine when we are indeed hungry or when to seek food due to a social, mental, or emotional stressor.
Dahn Yoga gurus also emphasized that a healthy eating habit requires us to overcome those wrong urges to consume foods, especially if it is just only for the purpose of experiencing the taste. For example, there are a lot of people who are into fatty foods, since these are flavorful. They take such foods even though they are not really hungry; they just want to endure the taste.
To have a healthy eating diet, you should aim for balance. The diet must be composed of the appropriate portions of vegetables and fruits, proper sources of proteins like tofu or lean meat, and whole grains.
Reconsider the Option of Fasting
There are a lot of yoga enthusiasts who believe that fasting prior to practicing different Yoga techniques is indeed beneficial. As a matter of fact, there are some people who fast for couple of hours in order to improve the ability of their body to eradicate toxins. However, according to Dahn Yoga gurus, engaging in different exercises with an empty stomach may result to dizziness. On top of that, having an empty stomach for a long span of time could make it difficult to sustain energy as well as concentration (Dahn Yoga Reviews).
Instead of fasting, Dahn Yoga experts recommend the consumption of light meals a couple of hours before exercising. In any kind of physical activity, the body needs balanced fats, carbohydrates, water, and proteins in order to completely reap the benefits of the exercise. Those who want to engage in Dahn Yoga should also make it a habit to consume small snack or meal, as well as drink sufficient amount of fluids after the class, in order for the body to be rejuvenated.
These are just some of healthy eating habits shared by Dahn Yoga reviews. Watch out for more.

Frum and Exercise

I started doing yoga over 20 years ago. I was self-employed and had a flexible schedule so I would drop in to a neighborhood yoga studio and take classes. I especially liked the hatha yoga classes and would sometimes take a restorative yoga class. I tried them all, even Pilates, but found that hatha yoga really suited me. I liked the positions, the movement and the breathing. It was like a ballet only you stayed in the position longer.
I really got into yoga and decided that I need cool yoga clothes. My loose Lands' End tee shirt and pants looked weird next to all the other students. Bright colors, tight fitting and cut out sections, that's what I needed for a good yoga workout. The yoga studio was a commercial venture and so open to the public.
Over the years, I found myself coming back to my Jewish family traditions. I was taking Torah classes and going to shul. I grew in my yiddishkeit each year until I felt comfortable saying that I was a baalas teshuva. I was kosher, I was Shomer Shabbos and I liked yoga.
I had a problem! Those bright colored, tight fitting, cut out yoga outfits were an embarrassment. I began to do yoga at home. I knew enough from all the classes I attended, so I was able to create a yoga workout that resembled what I did in the studio. I found internet downloads with audio yoga workouts and many were for hatha yoga practice. I created a little spot in the bedroom and made it my "yoga studio". Now I could do yoga whenever I wanted, private class for me alone, much cheaper, no men in the class, and I could go back to Lands' End loosy, comfy cottons.
For the past ten or more years, I have been a member of my own private yoga studio. I have two locations; the bedroom and the living room. I do the same yoga routine each day I exercise and have not tired of the program. It is a basic hatha yoga twenty minute flow and works on all body areas. Wonderful for flexibility, muscle strength and balance.
The private studio has grown to include some very special friends and we practice yoga and study the weekly parsha. Focusing our mind to have clarity of purpose, being mindful, fully conscious and aware of the present moment are lessons taken from yoga and apply also to Torah study. The weekly parshas' deep meaning connects to our life and the yoga poses remind us of the lesson.
